Michael Ray Charles is a young American painter, born in Lafayette, Louisiana. He received an MFA at the University of Houston and teaches at the University of Texas in Austin.

One Of Many negative stereotypes that African-Americans still buy into. through his painting I believe he is telling a story. Like The painting of Elvis with him having a black face.
My grandmother would see Elvis down at the corner store hanging with the black folks singing.
